FAQ
Q How did Customer Service Army (CSA) get started?
A: The Commander-In-Chief founded the CSA after decades of being frustrated with bad customer service, known as “customer service casualties.” He was tired of fighting with companies that did not treat him with the respect every customer deserves. When telling his passionate stories about mediocre service to his friends, the Commander-In-Chief realized there must be a better way to spread the information in a more permanent form to the general public. That led to the birth of the CSA on September 13, 2006 in Dallas, TX.
Q Why the name Customer Service Army (CSA)?
A: Because it takes an army to change customer service for the better.
Q What are the main goals of the CSA?
A: To get customers everywhere to start recognizing good and bad customer service and sound off about it! To create and expand on what “medal winning customer service” should be. To improve customer service forever!
Q Who can join the CSA?
A: Anyone who has ever been someone’s customer. Anyone who wants to sound off about customer service – good or bad.
Q Who can benefit from using the CSA?
A: Customers and businesses alike. Our goal is for CSA soldiers and civilian customers to use CSA as a resource they next time they are looking for “medal winning customer service.” Businesses can also use CSA as a tool to measure their collective customer satisfaction by referring their customers to our website. If you are a business owner, all you need to do is create a category for your business and add the types of evaluations you want your customers to complete.
Q How do I know that my voice is being heard?
A: All reviews written on the CSA website will stay there forever. Therefore, all businesses with reviews written about them will have a lifetime satisfaction score in real time.
Q How do I climb the ranks of the CSA?
A: The more quality reviews you write, the higher you rise in the CSA ranks. See the ranks page for more information.
Q How do I win a CSA medal?
A: Both soldiers and businesses are eligible for medals on a monthly and annual basis. For soldiers, the CSA evaluates the number of reviews written and the overall quality of the reviews themselves, including how other soldiers rank their helpfulness. For businesses, the CSA evaluates the number of reviews written about the business and the business’ cumulative customer service score. See the medals page for more information.
Q What should I include in a review?
A: You can write anything you want – as long as it is appropriate. Try to write your reviews as if someone else were reading them to determine their next customer purchase – in person, over the phone, or online. (See our Terms & Conditions for what is considered appropriate.)
